Webber’s Ground Solutions Group
Sub-Contractor Pre-Qualification
Our partners hold the same standard we do.
Webber’s Ground Solutions Group works with subcontractors who share our goal of sending every person home safely. Before we work together, we review each subcontractor’s safety record, insurance, licensing, financial strength, and experience. This page explains what we expect and how the process works.
How Prequalification Works
1. Download and complete the Subcontractor Prequalification Form.
2. Attach the required documents listed on the form.
3. Submit the signed form and documents to Alexa Kent, Business Director, and send your safety
documents (OSHA 300A logs, EMR letter, and written safety program) directly to Tony Richer, Director of
Health & Safety.
4. Review. Our Safety & Health Department reviews safety performance, and our team reviews insurance,
bonding, financials, and experience.
5. Decision. We notify you whether you are approved, approved with conditions, or not approved. Approval
may be limited by trade or project size and may be reviewed or revoked at any time.
Submission of the form does not guarantee approval or an award of work.
Before we work together, our team checks a few important areas to make sure your company fits our project guidelines. First, we look closely at your past safety numbers, including your EMR, TRIR, and DART rates, as well as any accidents or past OSHA issues. Next, we read through your written safety manual to see how your crews handle things like digging trenches, fall safety, and dangerous materials. We also check your professional credentials, making sure you have active North Carolina licenses, landscape or pesticide permits, properly trained operators, and reliable field equipment. Finally, your company must show proof of good insurance and bondingcovering auto, general liability, workers' comp, umbrella, and pollution with our company named as an Additional Insured and a clean environmental record regarding stormwater and erosion control rules.
What We Expect on Our Job Sites
Before your crews start work, you need to attend our site safety orientation and follow all project requirements, site safety rules, and OSHA standards. If requested, please submit your site-specific safety plans or job hazard analyses for your scope. It’s also important to hold regular toolbox talks, keep accurate attendance records, and provide all necessary PPE for your workers. You must supply properly maintained equipment and trained, qualified personnel, including a designated competent person for any excavation and trenching work. Always confirm utility locates before digging, follow our utility strike response procedures, and stay compliant with our project schedule and drug and alcohol policy. Finally, please ensure our Safety & Health Department has access to your safety documentation whenever they request it.
Incident Reporting
Report every injury, incident, property damage event, and near-miss immediately to our Safety & Health
Department. Provide a written follow-up and the results of your investigation when requested.
Stop Work and Corrective Action
We may stop work whenever conditions or practices are unsafe. Repeated or serious safety violations may
lead to corrective action requirements, removal from the site, or suspension or revocation of prequalification status.
